I know who the blogger is. Like 110% certain. I sent in a few "comments" to the oxbox above before it was closed and she hasn't posted anything since then. I found a lot of similarties between the blogger and a well known BHBer. I also know who the salty person was on the vaccine thread. It was a recently greyed well known well loved latina member who was using it as an alt profile. You ladies really need to be careful about who you "trust".

I had sent in a few ox box's that she seemed to be ignorning calling her out on it as well. Like she would post all submissions except for where I said she was Iambarbiegirl. And yes, the information Pfizer submitted to the FDA, as found above is pretty interesting as it is showing the TRUE efficacy rate of the Pfizer vaccine to only be about 1.64% and 95%. I was required to get vaccinated for work even though I already had the virus, so it's whatever to me, but it seems like you might be scared of the truth. Gerd it sucks to be a sheep in America.

I mean, I think most of us who are vaccinated realize it’s experimental to a certain extent. You and all the other “anti-sheep” aren’t telling us anything revolutionary (and most of it is just plain inaccurate). If my body can be used to advance science and our understanding of the effects of vaccines and viruses in any way, then that’s something I can feel proud of. Like everyone said, it’s a personal choice, and I firmly believe that. We all have done our research and know the risks. You seem to be the only one with the issue here.

I swear I don't know how anybody on BHB survives. I grew up in the south where hurricanes and tornadoes could knock our power out for 3-4 in the dead thick summer heat and everybody survived.

ReplyDeleteHowever it’s also true that, even without discussing acclimation, the people that have survived forever in those extremely hot areas -ARE- dying more heat related deaths year after year. 19 of the hottest 20 years on record have been since 2000.
The rising humidity is largely what’s so dangerous; they’re finding more and more regions, including many in the southern US and South America, where even a completely healthy person at rest in the shade can reach a point where sweat doesn’t evaporate fast enough to cool them down. They may not even feel they’re in serious danger beyond heat exhaustion until their body overheats to the point of death. Even when the wet-bulb temperature (look it up, might find it interesting) is well below 100F, like high 80s-low 90s.
Then of course there’s the discussion of privilege to have refrigerators that make ice, stores that have aircon or sell fans, etc but so many people around the world don’t have that access. And I’ll repeat, that’s true even here in the US, hell someone on the thread mentioned stores running out of fans, though we’re very lucky that so many have access to water to splash on to mimic sweat. So it’s still likely a ways away from an absolutely dire problem for the majority of Americans.
But that’s not true for hundreds of millions around the world, and it’s very literally getting worse each year.
I work in water conservation so this is just such an important and extremely urgent issue in my eyes. That’s also why some of the comments like these seem flippant and short sighted.
As somebody who works in the medical field and has done international medical work, you are not exactly correct here. Are people dying more heat related deaths? Yes, but it's almost always due to other issues such as dehyration, lack of proper diet, vitamins, minerals, diseases, etc. The OP on that thread has fans, black out curtains, cold food, cold drinks, and ice for days. She has the ability to go to indoor venues with AC. She was being dramatic as fuck. People are not dropping like flies over heat exhaustion as you seem to appear to make it out to be. The vast majority of the world does not have AC and the vast majority of those people are A ok and manage just fine. Do you have any idea how many DO have AC but simply choose not to use it? Again, they are fine too. You might be worse than the OP with your response here. AC is a luxury, not a necessity. So many of you are so out of touch with reality, it's embarrasing.

No, no one’s in “imminent” danger. (Quotes just because I do think the planet is, several hundred years is a blink of an eye relatively speaking, but most don’t truly care since it won’t affect them.) No, people won’t just start dropping dead, but there’s a lot to consider. For example, some regions that have never used or needed AC before -will- need to start, at least having public facilities with it (this is already happening in some places), or outdoor jobs may need restructuring and limited hours and mandated recovery breaks, it’s an incredibly complex issue. And it stems in large part just from rising humidity combined with increasing global temps, which as I said is only one small part of the problem.
I don’t know all the solutions. I just know they’re needed, along with serious climate mitigation measures. The ramifications of failing to act will continue growing exponentially, and we just had a clear example of how quickly exponential growth can become overwhelming with the pandemic. They may seem inconsequential now, or too abstract or too far off to matter, but I don’t see it that way.
Places will need to start using AC that are using it now? ARE YOU THAT OUT OF TOUCH WITH REALITY? Those places don't have AC for one solid reason" because they can't afford it! Do you have any idea what electricty costs are like in other parts of the world? Damn take Central America for instance. Electricity is INSANELY expensive there, which is why the vast majority have no AC. People that live in other regions of the world and developing countries can't just put in AC when they feel like it. Who the fuck is going to pay the bill? I have lived and traveled all over the world during my adult life and can speak to certainty on this. You can act like using AC is just so easy peasy in other place. They can just install it and use it! No need to worry about the electricity costs, it will just pay for itself! How stupid are you....

For areas where this isn’t feasible. If there aren’t viable alternatives to cool down as these heat indices reach unlivable conditions (which, I should repeat for you, are conditions more and more people will NOT be able to acclimatize to, and I’m talking by like 2060 we’ll start seeing this, not some far away future), what do you suggest people do? I’ll quickly add here that it goes way beyond cooling people down, too. I haven’t touched at all on the cascading effects this’ll all have on agriculture, or economies that will definitely be seen at least in our kids’ lifetimes.
Back to my question on what people should do. Just deal with it? Well, I covered that, not possible. Stay indoors with water and a fan? May work for awhile in some places, providing there’s access to usable water and electricity; and what about farming or construction when no one can be outside all day? Relocate? Perhaps possible, but obviously not easy and were it to happen en masse creates a host of other issues. This doesn’t even scratch the surface and I could write a novel on the different options that might work across various regions, but not a single path is a clearcut or easy manageable one.
So then what? Well, unless we come up with something, over time increasing numbers of people will die. They’ll die without enough respite from these weather conditions, that we know are already beginning to occur, that surpass the limits of human physiological capability.
To spell it out: Increasingly more people will continue to die heat-related deaths. And more and more, it will be because of the wet-bulb temps. Because of the rising humidity.
Which was my whole original fucking point.
My husband and I have dedicated our lives to this work. He’s a scientist, would you like to know the research focus of his published studies? This exact fucking thing! Humidity, the wet-bulb temps, the emergence of bouts of these alarming climate conditions. He works internationally too! Don’t worry, he’s not a stupid dummy like me.
Although it’s his forte and not mine, it’s something I know a lot about. Which is why I wanted to write the first post to point out that comments of “millions have lived forever without AC” and “people adapt to extreme temperatures” and the like impart a dangerous falsity that this will always be the case. Because in the not so distant future, it won’t be.
I promise, it’s not me who’s out of touch with reality here.
I'm not the person you are responding too above, and I'm sorry but I agree with the other PP. I think we can all agree and sympathize with what you are saying, but it's not as "feasible" as you want to put it, and some of what you are pushing makes you seem mildly ignorant on how "unfeasible" it truly is. I don't think you quite grasp how many places on earth do not use AC and it's been that way for, well forever, and will likely continue to be that way forever. I get you are passionate about what your work but nothing about anything PP or others said above was flippant. People have learned to adapt to their surroundings for centuries and it won't be any different going forward. Interestingly enough, I live in the tropics and am a nurse, With insane heat temps AND mask usage combined, nobody is dyeing more heat related deaths here or even having heat related issues despite how suffocating it is to a wear mask here. So, again, I can appreciate what you are saying, but I agree that you are making a far larger deal out of this than is necessary and seem to not grasp "reality" as PP said above.

Congratulations to them. Humans as a whole are not at risk of extinction, if that’s somehow what people think I’m saying. We can’t compare what’s happening now to any point in history though, because it’s unparalleled. I’ve made multiple mentions of how climate change is occurring at a pace that’s faster than human adaptability can keep up with. It could affect entire populations, which should be troubling to everyone. Instead some want to ignore and deny things we know are starting to happen.
We’re in an unprecedented phase of climate change and global warming. The rate exceeds anything seen in millions of years. That it’s also happening globally, temps are rising all over the world and not just in select regions, hasn’t happened at least 2,000 years, CO2 concentration is higher than ever in human history, there is a multitude of reasons that it’s not the same now as ever before.
As far as making a ‘far larger deal’ of climate change than is necessary, I really don’t know what to say to that. I’m not saying we’re facing the collapse of civilization here. However it’s also true that it IS a big damn deal.
In ~50 years there will be a significant increase in areas that are too hot to be habitable. Ideally emissions mitigation and such will curb the spread, but it’s likely that hundreds of millions, if not billions, of people will be living in uninhabitable areas.
And since adaptation won’t occur by then, the remaining options are move to a new location, or die.
It’s not like there’s going to be some huge doomsday event several decades from now. But we will start seeing regionally devastating impacts that don’t need to happen. The effects of which can be mitigated. We’ll keep doing what we do. I just do not suppose I understand choosing to ignore it.
Is not at least some of this common knowledge where all of you all live? It’s not like these are my opinions. It’s based on research, science, observable phenomena, data. I’m not inventing it.
It’s perplexing—everyone supports the cause in theory, but simultaneously wants nothing to do with it and learn nothing about it.

I developed Labia Hypertrophy during puberty and while it's never been terrible, it got really bad during my last pregnancy. No guy, including my husband has ever care, in fact quite the opposite. Most men enjoy a little labia peekage, but my labia being "out" make me so uncomfortable and I can't enjoy myself during sex, I feel like people can see them when I wear bathing suits, etc. Anybody?
ReplyDeleteI had one a few years ago after I was done having my baby's. Mine was a result of pregnancy, and while my husband wasn't bothered by it, it certainly bothered me. Best decision of my life to have it done. Recovery is nearly painless and quick. I have two friends who have had an LP as well, and as far as I am aware no regrets anywhere. It's a VERY common surgery and nothing to be ashamed about.

DeleteSometimes it makes it so the virus transmits more easily; these mutations have been building up over time, they didn’t just “suddenly” appear. As they occur more frequently and become part of the normal genome, the accumulation over time produces new variants of the virus strain.
This is literally the “job” of a virus; it’s how they work. Vaccines = still the best bet against the virus and its variants.
Take a look at what you just said. You, like ALL scientist say that virus's mutate and while they become more easily transmissible the variants are weaker. We all know this. But if every virus in the history of virus's has always become weaker why is that suddenly this virus that has a 99.87% survival rate is suddenly becoming "deadlier" with it's varients? It doesn't make any sense. Nothing is right about this virus, nothing is right about these vaccines. Something is off. I am not who posted the above that you were replying too and I have been vaccinated but I am starting to see where the "other side" is coming from. For heaven sakes even the inventor of mRNA technology is suddenly by the media being silenced after he went on CNN and said that the mRNA vaccines were not behaving as they should be, were creating "micro" clots in almost all recipients (micro clots are undetectable for quite some time until they grow large enough to create a problem which often takes a few years). He, as the inventor of the tech, even said that these suddenly "mild" cases of heart problems in otherwise healthy individuals are NOT normal and are only the beginning of issues we will see with these vaccines. I am not anti-vax, i've been vaxxed, but I am starting to see something is very off and not right here, and I deeply regret my decision to get vaxxed.

While I personally do not believe people will be killed off I do believe, like many others that some sort mass "unknown" sterilization will happen over time. However, these vaccines are being forced, even on those who have fully recovered from covid. There is not a single virus in the history of virus's where those who have recovered have ever been asked/forced to take the available vaccine. Thatt is not how this works. Natural immunity is far superior to any vaccine, so when people who have recovered from the virus are suddenly being forced into vaccination for something they have natural immunity to it, it doesn't. The actual inventor of mRNA vaccines Dr Robert Malone has recently been speaking out against the vaccines due the coverup of side effects, most notably "microclots". He is being silenced by MSM so nobody even knows he exists. This is wrong. So for all the people who say that vaccines shouldn't be forced, most of them will also say "don't force the vaccines but if you can't go out and do XYZ that's your fault". The problem with that is the recovered who need vaccines get caught in that category purely because they don't need to be vaccinated against something they already have immunity too. So why is it, for those you who believe the recovered need to be vacinated as well, why are the recovered such a threat to society? Your vaccines aren't superior to natural immunity. If the recovered aren't spreading the virus anymore than the vaccinated then why are the recovered being ostricized so much?

DeleteI'm not whoever you are talking to but I do know what video they are talking about as my DH showed it to me earlier, and if you listen he DOES say 42 of the 43 are vaccinated and the other only had one dose. I listened to it multiple times so I know I heard right. I get that it was likely just a mistake on his end but still pp is right that it's a fairly big mistake to make, and does make one wonder about the dishonesty of governments in all of this. I am in the UK and here when they first announced the Delta variant they said it was just "hay fever" but then immediately proceeded to ban all hay fever/allergy/cold medicines, from all pharmacies. I don't have any issue with these vaccines but I do not under circumstances agree with forced vaccination and I will support people in that stance. 99% percent of the patients I have seen come through our ICU are either very elderly, obese, or have other serious medical conditions that were going to kill them with or without covid. I have family and friends scattered across some very red areas as well where everybody wears a mask, and the non maskers are few and far in between, but according to the idiots on BHB only liberals wear masks and all conservatives don't, which is totally inaccurate. I am not republican but every republican I know follows the same rules the rest of do and very respectfull of the pandemic in general. I often times think BHB just says whatever they think BHB wants to hear even if it's not the truth. And to be even more honest, the ones I know who were NOT taking the pandemic seriously were all liberals. They didn't wear masks but then shamed others for not masking.
